Solitude on Living Waters
Prayer and Fasting Change Things
Ezekiel 36:37
“Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.”
Beloved, during seasons of prayer and fasting, our bodies are subjected to the authority of the Holy Spirit, allowing His power to work in us beyond the limitations of the flesh.
Looking at our anchor scripture, we see that the people of Israel sought the Lord concerning the issues of their lives, and He responded by turning their situations around, multiplying them, and establishing them in greatness. Likewise, when we call upon God with fasting and prayer, we position ourselves to receive divine intervention in our lives and circumstances.
We must recognize that prayer and fasting facilitate the fulfilment of prophetic destinies. As Jesus Himself stated in Matthew 17:21, “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Some breakthroughs will not manifest until we engage in this spiritual discipline.
When we fast and pray, we are making a bold declaration: “God, come and do the impossible in our lives and our nation!” As we combine prayer, fasting, and the Word of God in faith, every obstacle must surrender, for nothing can withstand the power of God’s Word. Isaiah 55:11 affirms, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Therefore, whatever makes room for God will also make room for us in Jesus’ mighty name—Amen!
PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, let this year be a beautiful one for us in every area of our lives—Amen. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Matthew 17:21

Very beloved,
Fasting releases supernatural power that lightens burdens and accelerates divine intervention. There are times when persistent prayers alone seem to yield no visible results, but when we combine them with fasting, breakthroughs become swift and undeniable.
Fasting acts as a spiritual accelerator, propelling us into the fulfillment of God’s promises. Just as in driving, shifting from one gear to a higher speed requires engaging the clutch, so does our spiritual journey require deeper engagement with the principles of God’s Word.
Many believers settle for only a partial revelation of the Word—like staying in first gear—thinking that is all there is. This limited understanding deprives them of the full acceleration of God’s power, especially in areas like healing, deliverance, and supernatural breakthroughs.
The level of acceleration in life is directly proportional to the depth of God’s Word applied. The more we align ourselves with divine principles, the faster we move into the fullness of our destiny, manifesting God’s promises as living testimonies.

Cast Your Burden Upon the Lord
Psalm 55:22
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
1 Peter 5:5-7
“God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”
Beloved,
We must recognize that fasting draws us closer to God, but it also requires true humility to allow Him to step into our situation for good. The deeper our humility before Him, the greater the grace we receive.
Often, we say we have cast our burdens upon the Lord, yet we continue to worry, dwelling on those same problems in our hearts. This is not true surrender but pretence before God. Genuine faith means trusting that whatever we lay before Him is already settled.
Today, I declare: Every power resisting your season of breakthrough is cursed in Christ Jesus—Amen!
PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, every power mocking Your glorious destiny in my life is destroyed now!—Amen. (2 Kings 2:23-24)
