The Power of Your Words!

Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Delights of God,
Your words carry power!
The power to build up or tear down, to bring life or to invite destruction. What you speak today is shaping your tomorrow, because God designed words to create realities (Genesis 1:3 – “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”).

Speak Life, Not Negativity

The enemy seeks to sow doubt and negativity, but as believers, we must guard our lips and speak only what aligns with God’s word:

“Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” (Proverbs 16:24)

“A wholesome tongue is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 15:4)

What you declare over yourself, your family, and your future matters.

Speak healing, speak success, speak favour, and speak divine direction—for the words you release will return to you as fruit (Isaiah 55:11 – “So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please.”).

Align Your Words with Faith

Your confession shapes your experience. Even in challenges, declare victory:

When faced with lack, say: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)

When sickness knocks, say: “By His stripes, I am healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

When anxious, declare: “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

When you need strength, proclaim: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

Be Intentional with Your Words

Words spoken in faith activate miracles, while careless words open doors to defeat. Jesus Himself taught that our words will justify or condemn us (Matthew 12:37). Therefore, let us use our tongues as instruments of blessing, not complaint; of faith, not fear; of hope, not despair.

A Prayer for Your Words

I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you to speak words that build, heal, and uplift. May you reject words of doubt and negativity, and instead declare God’s promises boldly, shaping and aligning your life with His divine will.

May your mouth be filled with wisdom, your tongue with grace, and your heart with faith, in Jesus’ mighty name!

Wishing you all a fruitful, victorious, and insightful day!

Keep speaking life! You shall have what you say! (Mark 11:23).
