EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY
Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” – Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
Beloved, the Holy Spirit is alive in us and actively at work. He is the power that operates within us, guiding, enabling, and empowering us to live in the fullness of God’s will. But we must be conscious of His presence and workings in our lives.
What Are You Asking, and How Are You Asking?
The Word of God reminds us in James 4:3:
“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”
God can do far beyond what we request or even imagine, but He will not act on desires that are outside His will. Our prayers must align with His Word, for He honours His promises and performs His counsel (Isaiah 55:11).
What Are You Thinking?
Our thoughts shape our faith and expectations. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” If our thoughts are in alignment with God’s Word, we can be confident that He will bring them to fulfilment.
God’s Word commands us in Philippians 4:8:
“Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Align with God and Walk in Confidence
Dearly beloved, pause for a moment and think!
Are your prayers in agreement with God’s will?
Are your thoughts in alignment with His Word?
If your desires and meditations reflect His heart, then be rest assured, it is done in Christ Jesus! As 1 John 5:14-15 assures us:
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us. And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
So, let your prayers and thoughts be rooted in His truth, and you will walk in the reality of His exceeding abundantly!
Amen!
